Perth - a city of modern landmarks and picturesque nature. Positioned perfectly on Australia's west coast, Perth gets the most sunny days out of any other Australian capital city.
Here are our favourite Perth tours. We focus on free tours of Perth but also include other paid tours to consider.
In addition to a free walking tour of Perth as listed below, we recommend:
- Swan Valley: Full-Day Wine Tour with Lunch - Spend a relaxing day with a guided winery and region tour. Try cheeses and local produce in the famous region.
- Rottnest Island Ferry and Bus Tour - Discover the incredible Rottnest Island with return ferry transfers from Perth and a guided bus tour. I loved this one - home of the cutest quokkas! Selfie time :)

Perth Guide
Despite being one of (if not the most) remote city in the world, the capital of Western Australia is a tantalising prospect to visit.
Perth is shaped by the beautiful scenery of the urban landscape, views at the Botanic Gardens on Mt Eliza, vast beaches, modern buildings and architecture and glittering ocean.
Take in the relaxed, down to earth Aussie way of life, a sophisticated dining and bar/cafe scene or a night out in the city. Perth is home to several popular art galleries and museums including The Western Australia Museum.
Whether you explore Perth on your own, or take a guided tour, you will likely come across some of these Western Australian gems on your tour:
-
Kings Park and Botanic Garden
-
Perth Mint
-
The Western Australia Museum
-
Swan River
-
Elizabeth Quay
-
Fremantle Prison
-
Cottesloe Beach
-
Perth Cultural Centre
-
Bell Tower (Swan Bells)
-
Perth Zoo
-
The Round House
-
His Majesty's Theatre
-
Optus Stadium
-
Western Australian Maritime Museum
-
Scarborough Beach
And this is all just in Perth. Wait till you see all the incredible adventures that await you just outside this isolated yet amazing capital.
Some of the tours of Perth are listed as free, what does this mean?
The free tours listed generally operate on the rule that they have no upfront cost. Some tours may work on a tips only basis where if you like the tour, you can pay your guide how much the tour was worth to you at the end.
Didn't like it? There should be no obligations to pay anything.
Do check the details on their respective websites as the tours listed here are not run by Buddy Free Walking Tours.
